My name is Eilish Blade and I have been working in the field of Complementary Therapies for over 20 years.

I began as a practitioner in Swedish and holistic massage, Neuro-Structural-Integration-Technique (NST) and Bowen Therapy. In 2003 I completed my Naturopathic diploma at The College of Natural Therapy. I studied Biomedicine at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and I am currently studying a MSc in Nutritional Therapy at the University of Worcester and will finish my training in 2020. I am a registered student member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT) and a member of the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA).

Optimum health depends on a combination of diet, lifestyle, genetics and environmental factors. Diet can directly and indirectly affect genetic expression, metabolism, mood, energy, immunity, hormones, digestion and ability to be “stress resistant” in life. I use my training in Naturopathy and Nutrition to create treatment plans with the focus on “food first” to target nutritional deficiencies. Nutrient dense foods are both plant based and animal products and it is about sourcing quality products which fit with the clients dietary patterns, lifestyle, metabolism, digestive function and ethics.

I’m passionate about food from “farm to fork”, and have also been an organic fruit grower which has given me a wider perspective on whole food and a focus on Sustainable Nutrition. Whether we eat a plant based diet or combine animal products, there is increasing evidence to show the nutritional profile of foods are affected by where and how they are produced. I work with clients to find cost effective ways to source nutrient dense foods which are local, seasonal and if possible organic foods. (This is based on the individuals’ financial circumstances and time commitments).
